Prepare yourselves for the 4th installment of the winter film series: NOIR, a peek into the fathomless depths of the human personality through the dark and concrete postwar jungle. The movement behind this series is to show film as a expressive artistic medium. With host Diana Forgione we will go into the depths of directors’ intentions, genre advantages, foreign films, visual purpose, art direction and narrative throughout the series. Provoking shared experiences with a discussion after shown film.

Summary: Pulp novelist Holly Martins travels to shadowy, postwar Vienna, only to find himself investigating the mysterious death of an old friend, black-market opportunist Harry Lime—and thus begins this legendary tale of love, deception, and murder.

Doors open 6:30 and the film starts promptly at 7:15pm with intermission half way through the film. Afterwards a discussion of the film will be held with host and attendees.

It’s a no host bar, and free admission.
